Paper Recycling
Paper Recycling is the process of recovering waste paper and remaking it into new paper products.
Paper is one of the easiest materials to recycle. And now you can count on Rebox corp to collect all your paper products to effectively manage your businesses' waste.
Once the paper is collected it is then sorted, graded and delivered to a paper mill. At the paper mill it is added to water and then turned into pulp. The paper is then screened, cleaned and de-inked through a number of processes until it is suitable for papermaking. It is then ready to be made into new paper products such as newsprint, cardboard, packaging, tissue and office items.
Some statistics on paper consumption:
1. It is estimated that 95% of business information is still stored on paper.
2. Recycling 1 short ton of paper saves 17 mature trees, 7 thousand gallons of water, 3 cubic yards of landfill space, 2 barrels of oil, and 4,100
kilowatt-hours of electricity — enough energy to power the average American home for six months.
3. Packaging is the single largest category of paper use at 41% of all paper used.
4. 115 billion sheets of paper are used annually for personal computers. The average user prints 28 pages daily.
5. Most corrugated fiberboard boxes have over 25% recycled fibers. Some are 100% recycled fiber.
Recycling paper like newspapers, magazines, telephone directories, mail, office paper, cardboard and other packaging paper will reduce the consumption of rainforests, energy, the amount of paper going to landfill and the emission of greenhouse gasses.
Rebox can help your company set up a workable paper waste disposal plan that is both environmentally friendly and financially beneficial.
